Today we begin our final term for 2015. The kids have had a wonderful 2 week break. We also got some good jobs done – dentist appointments, drama lessons, a Little Flowers lesson, a fundraiser stall for a lady in need, and tennis lessons. We caught up with friends, but unfortunately couldn’t fit everything in that we wanted to.
At home the younger kids have made lots of cubbies, played lego and played board games. The older kids have been spending lots of time playing the piano and their guitars (jazz and blues!), doing woodwork in the shed and also doing some computer programming. The programming they have been doing is called Scratch. I have been impressed with how much they have learnt and the little programs they have made all by themselves.
To finish off the holidays with a bit of fun, the younger three ran through the sprinklers last night before bath time. It really does feel like summer is not that far away!
Now we need to knuckle down and complete the last term for the year. There is a lot on this term. We have tennis on 4 times a week, science lessons for Jay, drama lessons for all the kids (plus a concert!), swimming lessons and our normal piano and violin lessons. Of course there will be Advent activities and Christmas preparations and ‘show and tell’ at a friends house for the littles. This sure will be one of the busiest terms ever!
